Tarte Cosmetics – Skin Win Product Review

I’ve finally purchased my first set of Tarte cosmetics make up – yay! I’ve seen a few influencers on Instagram talking about how great their products are including the Rainforest of the Sea collection, so I had to grab my hands on some. In this blog post, I’ll be reviewing their Skin Win product collection set and let you know my thoughts 🙂

Drink of H20

This without a doubt was probably the best moisturiser I have ever used. I know that’s a pretty big claim but the Tarte Drink of H20 almost felt like a serum moisturiser, very thick but leaves your skin feeling refreshed and not sticky. 10/10 in my eyes. The size that comes in this pack is a little small but the full sized ones are available to purchase separately – yaaaas!

Maracuja Oil

I sometimes feel like, with oils, it’s a bit similar to Marmite you either love them or you hate them. Also can’t believe I’ve just managed to compare maracuja oil with Marmite – hmm? Anyway, I loveee face oils. As somebody who has dry skin I struggle to find a product that really holds moister on my face. This is why oils are perfect for applying just before foundation or to leave on at night when taking off your makeup. The maracuja oil comes with a dropper application and when applying to your skin it’s not super watery, holds extremely well to your skin and almost leaves your face glistening in non-full on grease kinda’ way.

Shell Lipstick

Did somebody say minty? Yes they did. This lipstick really wasn’t what I expected it to be like at all, to be honest. It looks like a matte lipstick so that’s what I was expecting but oh my, it’s a glossy lipstick that smells of mint. I am also not a huge fan of glossy lipsticks or lip glosses, I just have this memory of using the Bourjois Mint Lip Glosses and my lips looking mega sticky. You know the lip gloss, it was very 2004, it was bright green, very cool at the time – along with Jane Norman handbags.

However, this glossy lipstick doesn’t overload your lips with coverage, leaves them feeling light, minty and very glam. Love it.

Marine boosting mist

My first initial thoughts of this product were wow, very lemony haha. I like this product but I’m not sure whether I’d use it on a regular basis. When spraying the product it felt a bit heavy for a face mist and let my fave feeling a little sticky in the sections where the product had attached itself to on my face. However, it is still a very refreshing product a smelt lovely!

Overall I really loved these hydrating products by Tarte cosmetics and definitely glad I paid a little extra to get higher quality products than the average high street brands. I also purchased the Tarte Starter Collection which I’ll be reviewing on my YouTube channel this week so make sure you’re subscribed to keep up to date 🙂

I hope you have a lovely rest of the week!
