This month my Bellabox has been delivered earlier than I expected, yay! For those of you who haven’t come across Bellabox before, it’s a beauty subscription service which delivers you little beauty goodies each month for $17.95 (AUD). In this blog post, I’m going to review my Bellabox for April 2018 🙂
This month’s Bellabox theme is Social Flirt and pretty much all of these products in this month’s box would’ve been absolutely perfect for Coachella this year – wish I could’ve gone ahh!
NYX Professional Makeup Eyeshadow Palette
So one of the biggest products that I received in this month’s Bellabox was an eyeshadow palette from NYX. There were four different palettes you could’ve received and I got the Avant Pop palette which you can see from the image above, lots of pretty vibrant colours! The yellow colour makes me very excited as I’ve seen so much hype around yellow eyeshadows from Kylie Jenner lately with some gorgeous eyeshadow looks. There are a few colours in this palette which I probably won’t use, which you always usually get with eyeshadow palettes. For example the green I’m not likely to use, because I’ve got green eyes I really tend to stay awake from green eyeshadows – don’t ask me why it just is too much green overload.
I really love the royal blue eyeshadow from this mix and the pigmentation was surprisingly good and it’s now currently all over my hands still haha! I’m actually going to post a makeup tutorial just using this palette on my YouTube next week so stay tuned.
Pixi Shea Butter Tinted Lip Balm
I’ve been wanting to try Pixi beauty products for quite a while but haven’t actually purchased any of their products yet so I was super excited to try one of their lip balms. As with any lip balms, if it’s made from shea butter I can pretty much guarantee I’m going to love it! The coloured shade I received in this product was Natural Rose but the colour packaging of this product and the colour indicator on the bottom was a lot lighter than the lip balm itself. I really loved the smell and texture of this lip balm, super light-weight and smooth on your lips but the colour was a lot darker than I would normally use. With a coloured lip balm I light a pink colour that isn’t too dark so it means I can put a lot more lip balm on.
Blaq Hydrogel Eye Mask
As you’ll know from my Instagram and my blog post on Blaq Meteor Shower Scrub, I’m a huge fan of Blaq products so this was the first product I was instantly drawn to once I opened my Bellabox! Eye masks seem to be the latest trend at the minute, which is amazing because I love eye masks, they always make you feel pampered after you’ve had them on for a little while. As with the majority of Blaq products these eye masks contain activated charcoal and also had included hyaluronic acid – sounds very fancy, I like.
I applied the Blaq Hydrogel Eye Mask just on my under eye, not too close to my eyes either and they stuck on so well! I was really impressed with how hassle free it was to apply. I left them on for 30 minutes whilst I was catching on my favourite YouTubers and then removed them. After I’d taken the eye mask off, my eyes felt so hydrated and I actually felt awake! Loved this product and would defo use again.
Sun Bum Premium Moisturising Sunscreen Lotion
I was surprised to receive a suncream this month as I’ve received quite a few in the last few months in my Bellabox. I feel like that’s me being very English, we are only used to wearing sun cream once a year. However, in Australia, I need sun cream all of the time because I’m so fair skinned so at the same time I needed it. I’ve never come across Sun Bum as a brand before and I’ll have to try this product out when Melbourne gets another sunny day as we’ve now gone into Autumn and the past week it’s been pretty cold! Overall the smell of this product smells really good, lots of coconuts and a very beach vibe to it. Smelt very similar to Hawaiian Tropic – beauuuutiful.
KENZO World Eau De Parfum
Well this product was the cheeky one that I wasn’t initially a fan of and once I’d sprayed this perfume on, ohh my word. Love this scent. I’ve also never heard of Kenzo before for some reason? I didn’t have an expectation of what this scent would smell like but it’s a very professional perfume that I can wear to work but also on the weekends too. I wasn’t surprised when I look at the scents in this perfume on the back of the packaging, I clearly like similar scents, it has: Peony | Jasmine and Ambroxan.
Elastoplast Don’t Worry Limited Edition Coloured Be Happy Patterned Plasters
These cute plasters were the bonus product this month and I love them. I’m always a person that has plasters in the house. One of the first priority items I packed in my suitcase when I moved to Australia was a first aid kit haha! It’s in our ‘junk draw’ in our kitchen – hehe.
I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post, I’ll be posting a video review of my Bellabox for April 2018 also on my YouTube so make sure you subscribe to my channel to see it 🙂
